It's Hard to Lose Them No Matter What Age

On June 26, 2015, we lost Rambo. It was the evening before his Canine Freestyle Dance event in Beltsville, MD.  Rambo layed down and died with his owner at his side.

On September 26, 2009, we lost Harly.  He was competing in an Agility trial when he was taken from his owner's arms.

Their deaths were swift and sudden but the emotional impact is there forever like the pawprint we always refer to on our hearts.

In memory and honor of Rambo (GCH Dillon's Midnight Rambler ROM) and Harly (CH Dillon's Bet Your Bottom Dollar ROM) a fund has been created with the AKC Canine Health Foundation. These two beautiful strong dogs managed to live only one heartbeat away from death while making their owners happy every day. They both left us in the blink of an eye due to a hemangiosarcoma in their heart.

Please take a moment to look at the information page and make any amount of donation. We have a goal of $1000 to be earmarked for Oncology-Hemangiosarcoma.

Register Of Merit Award for Zeus!

GCH Dillon's Zipper Ripper CD, whom we all know as Zeus, added two more titles to his name on June 13, 2015.  We made the trip to Whitestown, IN for the DPCA Working Aptitude Evaluation and the AKC Canine Good Citizen test.  Zeus breezed through both of the tests.  These two evaluations are scoring the temperament and stability.

Zeus is now added to the DPCA Register Of Merit.  Requirements for the ROM are breed championship (GCH), AKC Obedience title (CD), and the Working Aptitude Certificate (WAC).

Zeus joins Harly and Rambo on the Register Of Merit.

A New Agility Title for Dillon's Odds Favor Micah CD

On May 10th Dillon's Odds Favor Micah CD and Janet Chardavoyne earned a new NAJ title in Agility.  Here are Janet and Micah completed a clean run in 24" Jumpers class.  Micah took a minute to sniff something in the tunnel.  Cheeky Monkey Micah!

Dillon Dobermans Has A New Register Of Merit Award

While I was at Central Alabama Schutzhund Club Trial today the messages were coming in.  I received this one "Boomer is now officially GCH CH Blackjacks N' Dillons Steel Blue Lightning, ROM, NA, NAJ."
Our blue puppy from the Storm litter earned the Register Of Merit award by passing the third requirement for the title.  Boomer and his owner/handler/trainer, Jayne Isbell, earned the certificate with a near perfect score on the Doberman Pinscher Club Of America Working Aptitude Evaluation.
The Working Aptitude Certificate (WAC) is earned by passing a Working Aptitude Evaluation (WAE) - usually held by a Chapter Club of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America. The evaluation is about temperament, being good with strangers, locating and investigating a hidden noise, gunshots, being startled visually and recovering to investigate the object, different footings to walk on, being accosted by a very aggressive stranger who means to harm you.  The test is designed to build pressure on the dog as it progresses.  The attitude is scored at each station of the test.  It evaluates the temperament and emotional strength of the dog. Here is the video of Boomer and Jayne going through each phase of the Working Aptitude Evaluation.

The Register Of Merit is given to a dog who has achieved an AKC show ring Championship (GCH or CH), a performance title (CD, NA, NAJ among others), and the Working Aptitude Certificate (WAC).
Boomer is the third Dillon Doberman to achieve the ROM award from Doberman Pinscher Club Of America.  He joins CH Dillon's Bet Your Bottom Dollar ROM (Harly) and GCH Dillon's Midnight Rambler ROM (Rambo).
We are all incredibly proud of the accomplishments of every Dillon Doberman who is titled by their owners.  It shows dedication and skill in training and handling.

Time Surely Does Fly

Time never stands still.  We wish we could make it stand still but that would be accomplishing the impossible.  It has already been a year since the May Day Litter and six months since the Halloween Litter.  From these two litters we have Laci, Dana, Wolfgang, Morgan and Ryker.
Blessings abound for the owners of these puppies.  The weekly reports are the high point of my day.

We Appreciate All Of You

It's a well known fact that in order to succeed you should surround yourself with positive people who are good at what they do.  Let me take this opportunity to thank you all for what you do every day with your dogs.

It takes dedication to go from this,

To finding the right homes,

To going the distance in the show ring,

To train and compete for performance titles,

And back to the whelping box to complete the circle,

Sincerely, we mean it.  Thank you for being in my corner!
