Sawyer X Wiley's pups 3 weeks old

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oW3RkXBiHc0&list=UU7YtT3UIJwXGuO7dyXFli4w&index=1&feature=plcp

The pups are almost 3 weeks old.  Getting around on wobbly legs.  This morning they woke us up at 4AM with their morning puppy songs.  It's just like having a rooster in the yard.

Seventh point for Dillon's Zipper Ripper

Dillon's Zipper Ripper  (Zeus) picked up his 7th point toward his Championship today.  We went to Hattiesburg, MS for 2 days.  Saturday we won Reserve Winners Dog but today we got the point.  I am hoping to finish Zeus from the Bred By Exhibitor Class.  Thanks again to Al Rayburn for giving Zeus a great home and me the chance to go and have fun with him. As a Breeder/Owner/Handler this is all I could ever ask for.
Only 8 more points to go!!

From Forbes Magazine: A Very Enlightening Article on Dog Ownership

Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show is now history for 2012.  The Pekinese won Best In Show and was toted around New York City under the arm of the handler during the celebration.  In my opinion the "show" was in the other dogs.  Of course, being partial to the Doberman we were on her team but the Irish Setter and the Dalmation were eye catching, showy dogs who definitely left an impression on me.
Typically this means an increase in the demand for puppies of the breed of the moment, which now could be the Pekinese.  This article in Forbes Magazine  gives a good illustration of  the first time puppy owner's experience.  It's worth the few minutes of your time to read it.

Puppy Play - "I don't wanna grow up."

This is Dillon's Night Life (Cobby X Sheeba).  His call name is Manny, short for Emanuel.  Manny is 15 weeks old and just loves everything and everyone.  Sometimes I wish they could stay this age forever.

A Day In The Life of Sawyer

These are Patty's words telling the story of how useful a smart well trained Doberman can be,

"So today Sawyer amazes me with his understanding of the English language.
This afternoon he and I were down at our rural 4 acre park training some Schutzhund OB. We use almost the entire park when we train, because there's many times I throw his ball far for him to run and retrieve. After about 30 minutes of non stop training, we head back to my vehicle.  As I reach into my pocket for my keys, they were not there. So I'm down at the park (did I mention the park is RURAL) my keys are missing and my car is locked with my phone inside it. So I turn around towards the park and say to myself, OMG Mama lost her keys! The next thing out of my mouth was "Sawyer go find Mama's keys".   He takes off like a bullet weaving back and forth across this park nose to the ground, finds my keys, picks them up and comes running like a bullet back to me. I think my mouth was open wider that when I'm sitting in the Dental chair, with amazement, that he knew what I meant when I said it.
I do know there are many a times, we'll be heading out the door to leave, and I will say Mama has to get her keys, and remove them from the hook by the door. I guess after 2 years of him hearing this, he knew what they were. And with his amazing tracking ability he had no trouble finding them within less than a minute. He is one smart Doberman!!
Sincerely,

Patty K.Golfieri

Here is Jax. Is he the next one?

Here is Dillon's Live For Today a.k.a.  This is Jax from our Cobby X Sheeba litter.  He is learning how to step and stack in his first handling class.  Keep in mind, Jax is only 14 weeks old and just out having fun.  Keeping it fun and positive for puppies is very important.  Rose Benanti is doing a great job with him while his proud owner stands behind the video camera.

Weekend in Atlanta was good for Zeus

Today at Conyers KC Atlanta GA Dillon's Zipper Ripper "Zeus" won WINNERS DOG and went BEST OF WINNERS for a 3 point Major from the Bred By Exhibitor class. Our judge was Anne Katona. She was good with all the dogs.  I felt the general  consensus around the ring was favorable for her.
Thank-you Al Rayburn for allowing me to have such a great time with Zeus.  This dog is a complete clown with a temperament that is every breeder's dream.  Lots of attitude that keeps you on your toes but kind and forgiving if you accidently step on his.  Zeus' sire is CH Blackjack's Red Sword of Camelot.  Dame is Dillon's Midnight Liberty.   a.k.a.  Ruger X Zipper
